Key Highlights of Fortnite Chapter 7
Fortnite has undergone its latest refresh—Chapter 7 has launched, bringing with it a huge number of fundamental changes. Here is a brief look at what's new in the Battle Royale.
By the way, you can literally jump into Fortnite with just a couple of clicks via GFN.CO.KR — no downloads, no lag, and no fussing around.
New Map
The new island in Fortnite is the Pacific Break map, inspired by the American Southwest: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and other iconic locations. You can find the equivalent of Hollywood called Battlewood, the set of Sus Studios, the luxurious Sandy Strip casino, the Wonkeeland amusement park, and even the local Area 51, complete with its "little green men."
Who to Thank Now?
Say goodbye to the Battle Bus Driver; now you'll be dropping onto the island using a Tsunami Drop Mechanic. However, the developers have already hinted that our beloved vehicle will make a return in the future.
Become the Boss
Defeat one of the Bosses on the map and literally transform into them, gaining a bonus to maximum Health and Shield, infinite Energy, and a powerful super ability. The catch: nearby opponents will know your location after you transform, but with such power, that shouldn't be an issue.
There's Something Off About the Storm…
Now, every Storm phase will change the rules of the match in real-time. Rift Anomalies can spawn valuable loot, and the remaining Battle Royale participants can receive useful (and strange) effects. Furthermore, the shrinking zone will change its shape!
And Also
The game has added Hot Air Balloons and a Wingsuit, the ability to hijack a Reboot Van to revive a teammate, a Battle Pass themed around Hollywood cinema, a huge arsenal of new weapons, including dual Micro-SMGs and Akimbo Shotguns (like the Pump 'N Dump Shotgun), and much more.
